This residence in Delhi, created for Mr. Pradeep Jindal, takes a different approach.

Here, the façade becomes dynamic.

At the heart of the residence is a KINETIC™ RECTA system by Axes in Excess—a rectangular kinetic facade system designed to transform a conventional elevation into a continuously changing architectural surface.

When the Facade Starts Moving

The main façade is composed of a series of rectangular kinetic elements arranged to form a clean, controlled screen.

When the wind interacts with the individual elements, they respond through movement, creating subtle changes across the entire elevation.

A façade that appears geometric and ordered from one moment can look completely different the next.

The result is a kinetic screen that introduces movement without compromising the architectural discipline of the residence.

A Dynamic Architectural Skin

Rather than functioning as a static layer, the kinetic facade becomes an active part of the building.

As the rectangular modules move, their changing positions create variations in light, shadow, transparency, and depth. The façade therefore develops a constantly shifting visual character throughout the day.

This is what makes a kinetic system fundamentally different from conventional architectural cladding.

It doesn't simply cover the building.

It reacts to its surroundings.

Geometry With Movement

The rectangular geometry of KINETIC™ RECTA gives the residence a strong contemporary identity.

Clean lines establish the architectural order, while movement introduces an element of unpredictability. The contrast between precise geometry and natural wind movement creates a façade that feels both engineered and alive.

It is a meeting point between parametric design, architectural metal fabrication, and kinetic architecture.

A New Kind of Residential Facade

For a private residence, the kinetic screen also creates a distinctive visual layer between the building and its surroundings.

Instead of relying only on colour, material, or conventional patterns to create an interesting elevation, the façade uses movement itself as a design element.

Every change in wind creates another composition.

Every change in light reveals another layer.

Every viewpoint tells a slightly different story.

Where Architecture Responds

The Delhi residence demonstrates how a kinetic facade system can bring movement into contemporary residential architecture.

With KINETIC™ RECTA, a simple rectangular module becomes something more—an architectural element capable of responding to environmental conditions and continuously transforming the appearance of the building.

The geometry is still.
The system is moving.
And the façade is never quite the same twice.
