Inspired by the cultural identity of Uttar Pradesh, this sculptural installation transforms light into an experience.

Designed to soften and diffuse the intensity of natural sunlight, the installation celebrates the Rohu fish—a powerful symbol deeply rooted in the heritage of Uttar Pradesh and closely associated with the life-giving waters of the Ganges River.

Located within the newest terminal of Lucknow Airport, the artwork serves as more than a visual landmark. It creates an atmosphere that connects architecture, culture, and human experience through the subtle choreography of light and shadow.

As passengers move through the terminal, filtered daylight passes through the sculptural form, casting patterns reminiscent of underwater ripples. The resulting play of dappled light introduces a sense of calm and movement, offering travelers a moment of tranquility within the scale and energy of a major transportation hub.

The installation reflects a thoughtful balance between functionality and artistic expression. While contributing to solar control and visual comfort, it simultaneously enriches the architectural character of the terminal, creating a memorable arrival experience that is uniquely connected to the region's cultural narrative.

Conceptualized by Incubis for the Adani Group, in collaboration with AKFD, the installation stands as a celebration of local symbolism, innovative design, and the transformative potential of architectural art.

A project where culture, light, and architecture come together to create an experience that is both meaningful and unforgettable.
